Shahar Zubari has been touted as one of Israel’s best hopes for the London 2012 Olympic Games.

The 25-year-old windsurfer (“Neil Pryde” RS:X discipline) won Israel’s only medal (bronze) at the 2008 Beijing Olympics.

He was born in the city of Eilat, on the Red Sea coastline, and started windsurfing at the age of seven.

Zubari says his love for the sea keeps him in the sport, and his love for Israel powers him to do his best.
