Judokan Golan Pollack took to the mats professionally at the age of 17 and quickly established himself as one of Israel’s up-and-coming athletes.

With four World Cup medals to his name (Gold – Tallinn, 2011; Bronze – Tbilisi, 2012; Silver – Madrid, 2012; Bronze – Lisbon, 2012) the 21-year-old is now looking to London for the ultimate trophy – an Olympic medal in the men’s under 66-kg. category.

Pollack was raised in the town of Yehud in central Israel.
