Israeli swimmer Gal Nevo is the national champion in the 200m and 400m individual medley (IM) as well the 200m butterfly.

Born and raised on Kibbutz Hamadia in the Bet She’an Valley, the 25-year-old was groomed by the Sport-Gifted Center at Wingate Institute.

Nevo trains at Georgia Tech in the US, where he majors in economics.

At the 2008 Beijing Olympics, he advanced to the semifinals of the 200-IM and placed 13th with a time of 2:00.43. He also swam the 400-IM and clocked in at 4:14.03 or 11th overall.
